Chine, flacon tabatière en  verre overlay, 18ème siècle

Tabatière en verre overlay rouge sculpté sur fond blanc bullé, décor de pin, prunus et bambou.

 Ensemble, un pin (Songshu 松树), un bambou (Zhuzi 竹子) et une fleur de prunier (梅花 meihua) symbolisent et souhaitent longévité et endurance.  Cette combinaison emblématique s'appelle "Trois amis de l'hiver" (Suihansanyou 岁寒三友).  C'est un symbole d'amitié.

A red overlay glass snuff bottle carved on a white bubbled ground with pine, prunus and bamboo.

Together, a pine tree (Songshu 松树), bamboo (Zhuzi 竹子) and a plum blossoms (梅花 meihua) symbolize and wish longevity and endurance. This iconic combination is called 'Three friends of the winter' (Suihansanyou 岁寒三友). It is a symbol of friendship.
